::{ Hey There }::

Hey there, blog.  It's been awhile.  To say I've been busy would be the understatement of the century, but really, who isn't?  Time is flying right by, my kiddos - yes, that's now PLURAL (more on that shortly) - are growing up much too fast, so it's time to hunker down and do a better job at recording some of our favorite memories here on Team Adams.

I'll start with 4th of July festivities.

It's a tradition of ours to attend the Bexley city parade for the fourth.  It's classic Americana, and so much fun.  We discovered this year that Bug is a candy magnet.  Every person in the parade who had candy deposited some in her bag.  I'm pretty sure she came away with more loot from this parade than she did on Halloween.  Impressive.

We camped in front of my friend's house (thanks, Mabi!) and even though we always bring chairs, we generally end up on the curb...closer to the candy.

Minions!  This parade is so awesome.

Firetrucks are cool, until they're blowing their sirens ten feet in front of you.

The haul.  She got about five pieces of candy, then the mean parentals disposed of the rest of it.

Later in the day we headed over to our friends' house for a barbecue.  Bug was in heaven because a) she got to hang out with her BFF, Grady, and b) they had a blast with the poppers - they chucked them, stomped on them, and had a blast.

This is the first year we let Bug have sparklers...and I insisted she play with them with a cup so that she didn't get burned.  She was a little nervous at first, but got over it PDQ.

These two kill me.  They are best buddies and I love them to pieces.

Happy Fourth!
